Rachel Chamberlain

TA Consultant

Rachel Chamberlain, Ph.D. is a TA consultant in the Education Systems and Policy program area at AIR. Her primary responsibilities include qualitative research, capacity building, system implementation, and technical assistance support. She has extensive research and practice experience in the following areas: rural education, school-community partnerships, youth development, and school leadership.

For her dissertation research examining how community boundaries expand through school partnership and collaboration in a rural multi-district superintendency, Dr. Chamberlain was awarded the American Educational Research Association’s Dissertation Award in Rural Education and the National Rural Education Association’s Chance Memorial Dissertation Award. Dr. Chamberlain has published articles in several education and youth development research journals, including Power and Education, Journal of Youth Development, and The Journal of Early Adolescence. Previously, she was a researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Search Institute.
